Girl Power Hour = Happiness for You

The lovely ladies of Girl Power Hour, Darnell & Samantha, have invited Stratejoy to share some happiness secrets at their networking event next Thursday the 15th.   It’s the kickoff of GPH in 2009 and the first in a 4 month series titled “The Power of Focused Intention”.

These two have created an incredible opportunity for Seattle area women to network in a very positive, social, festive atmosphere. I give them big props for filling a need in our community and doing it with such guts and glam.

I’ve been a GPH convert since I first returned to the states.  One of my gal pals, a marketing powerhouse in the non profit world, invited me to join her at an event back in April.  It was filled with interesting, sassy entrepreneurs/ corporate professionals/ independent creative types mixing and mingling.  I had a ball chatting with women about their big dreams and sharing tales about my trip and plans for my new company (unnamed at that point!).

I still keep in touch with women I met at the very first event.

It’s a honor to be asked to present next week and especially exciting because of the 4 Month Series: The Power of Focused Intention.  I love that they’ve decided to dig a little deeper for the first four months of the new year.  In GPHspeak,

“Are you ready to conquer 2009? Good. Because we’re committed to helping you do so with 2 consecutive 4-part series’ focusing on you. The first being “The Power of Focused Intention” and the second “Looking Good While You’re Getting There.”  We want to help you set lasting Resolutions that can help you get to the next level in your life.  We’re looking forward to this journey of discovery in 2009, all while making new friends and building valuable relationships along the way.”

I don’t want to reveal all the surprises I have planned for next Thursday, but expect one-on-one Happiness Interviews with personal prescriptions for Joy, a communal art project & an interactive presentation on both the keys & obstacles to Authentic Happiness.
