While I may not have the “big picture” all figured out, I have put some time and effort into discovering things I want or would like to do. Perhaps it is the small things that snowball into the big things, eh?
I turned 25 back in March and made a big deal out of creating a 30×30 list before my birthday. The kick-off to the list was a road trip with my boyfriend that happened during my birthday week and also was the first thing to get crossed off the list. It has been a little over six months since that list started, and I have crossed two things off of it. I’m certainly proud of those two things but have covered little ground getting around to the other 28 things. I know I need to change that, so I’m going to share with you my 30×30 list:
Now that the list is shared out in the great, wide world, I hope it ignites another spark of motivation to continue doing it! My road trip and Warrior Dash experiences were so epic and amazing…I want to be able to use those words to describe the rest of my 20s. Hopefully the rest of my life! So what is holding me back? Fear of failure and the unknown. An incredibly busy schedule. Lack of funds. And a lot of convenient excuses. I need to pick one thing, focus, and keep going. If I don’t reach the end of my list by March 21, 2016, then it’s ok. I just want to feel like I did the best I could. Besides, I have a life list as well, so they’ll just roll on over. What would your 30×30 look like?

Hi Elyse! I'm a new-ish reader to Stratejoy & loved your post
I'm currently doing a 23 Before 23 goals list on my blog as well as a 101 in 1,001 which ends next year… So I totally understand how you're feeling! Sometimes writing out your list and putting it out into the universe (or in our case, on blogs for people to read) amps up your motivation by a LOT. I somehow feel like I've got people holding me accountable and I want to accomplish them even more because I constantly get comments about inspiring others to do something similar.
So my advice to you is to write your list out and post it somewhere that you'll see it often. I read mine every morning as I'm leaving my room and that renews my inspiration a little bit more each day. Good luck with your list & can't wait to read more as you accomplish it, hopefully

Hi Elyse! I loved your list! I just wanted to comment on No. 14. I had the opportunity to cover a swing dance event a year ago on assignment. Of course, they wouldn't let me just stand on the side of the room all night. I found the steps a bit difficult to pick up — perhaps because I was so stressed out about filming the event and editing the package that same night by myself — but it was so much fun. Let's face it: I looked ridiculous out there, but, I lived in the moment and embraced imperfection, flailing limbs and all. That's something to celebrate!
I hope you have a similarly enjoyable experience!

Your 30 by 30 looks so similar to my 30 while I'm 30! Love it! We have lots of overlapping wants/needs/goals. I did Warrior Dash last year. SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Don't let yourself get down for not knocking stuff off the list. It's supposed to be fun, right? Can't wait to hear what gets crossed off next!

Awesome! You deserve all the stuff on this list, and I have no doubt you'll get 'er all done!

Not that you have to get 'er all done though! No pressure! Eek. I gotta go.

Yes! Epic and awesome are good ways to describe your month/year/life.
I've found that once I make a list like this (I've done 101 in 1001 lists twice), I still feel rad even when I don't finish them, because I end up doing so much more great stuff than I would have if I'd never made the list.
Point being, go forth and do cool shit and have fun! Because isn't that what this is all about?
