The Gutsy Girl’s Guide to Success in Seattle.

Last Chance to Rock with me… You In?

WHEN: Sunday, August 15, 9 am to 4 pm

WHERE: Northwest Work Lofts

WHAT: Are you interested in kicking butt and taking names on your own terms? Carving out your own path in this wild modern jungle? Conquering the Quarterlife Crisis, perhaps?  Or maybe gathering your forces to tackle a big change?

I got ya covered!

Join us on Sunday, August 15th for this interactive Stratejoy workshop and walk away with clarity around your definition of success in every slice of life. What does it actually look like for you to be rocking your relationships? Your career? Your health?

Most of us don’t spend enough time answering the big questions in life (Who am I? What do I want? How do I get there?) because it’s hard to do without some sort of road map. Seriously, when was the last time you took some time out to really think about your life and where you’re headed?

Well, guess what, cupcake? We’ve got the map, know the best routes and understand the unique challenges of being a Gen Y woman in today’s world. You’ve got to jump in the driver’s seat, but we’re here to help you navigate!

There will be a definite focus on ACTION PLANNING and getting s*%# done at this workshop!

The Gutsy Girl’s Guide to Success Workshop

And it’s fun. Motivating. Inspiring. This is not your mother’s “self help seminar”! We dig into the real challenges and self-defeating beliefs holding you back with honesty and grace. We share the real secrets to loving your life, starting NOW. We want you to recognize and walk your own path!

Part of the excitement will be an empowering panel discussion full of Local Rockstars. Names and superhero stories coming soon! This will be your chance to ask questions (about love, spirituality, biz details, fears, best practices, whatever) and learn the real details behind woman you admire. Make a connection. Cement an adoration. Learn how “successful” women tackled their big dreams.

Confirmed Panelists

Molly Moon Neitzel

Molly has been passionate about making ice cream since her college gig at The Big Dipper — a scoop shop and neighborhood institution in Missoula, Montana – but never dreamed ice cream could take over her life. After a crazy career in the political and music industries as the executive director of Music for America, Molly decided to give in to her creamy, frozen obsession.

In the spring of 2008, aiming to give the people of Seattle what they were missing most, she opened Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream in Wallingford, a great neighborhood hang-out where families, kids, hipsters, and ice cream addicts alike could congregate and celebrate their favorite dessert.   She’s since added a location in Capitol Hill and an Ice Cream Truck named Leo! Leigh Canlis

Leigh has created new waves in the art world for the past 12 years by opening the sometimes-intimidating art world to a new generation. She began working with Dale Chihuly at his publishing arm, Portland Press, but quickly gravitated to the glass art side of the business (where she met her husband, glass artist, J.P!) . At the same time, she founded Avant-garde at SAM, a group for young adult art enthusiasts to enjoy art in alternative ways.

In 2005, Leigh and J.P. opened Canlis Glass in Belltown, their own retail and studio space, dedicated solely to art glass created by J.P. Leigh currently runs the business, J.P. creates the art.  Leigh serves on the boards of The Pilchuck Glass School, PONCHO and On the Boards and was featured as one of The Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40” in 2007.  She’s also a new mama to the lovely Anais, 4 months. Melody Biringer

Melody, a self-avowed “start-up junkie,” has built companies that range from Biringer Farm, a family-run, specialty food business, to home furnishings, to a fitness studio. Now, Melody runs the CRAVEcompany, a network of businesses designed to creatively connect entrepreneurs who approach business in a fresh, new way with the stylish consumers they desire.

The CRAVE family includes CRAVEparty, CRAVEguides, and CRAVEbusiness. After initially launching in Seattle, Melody has taken CRAVEparty to more than 13 US cities including Chicago, Portland, Los Angeles, and Washington DC; and internationally to cities such as Amsterdam and Toronto. CRAVEparty has expanded into CRAVEbusiness, a resource for entrepreneurs seeking a modern approach to business, and CRAVEguides, delivering style and substance through its city guides to small businesses and other content. Melody is a loyal community supporter, versed traveler, and strong advocate for women-owned businesses.  (Bio + Photo via CRAVE)

Darnell Sue

As the daughter of a rock-n-roll photographer, Darnell’s interest in special events, her penchant for music and her enthusiasm for creating show-stopping events was established early in life.  Darnell is the founder of Girl Power Hour (2007), she’s been writing the Girl About Town blog for the Seattle PI since late 2006, she’s featured in the latest CRAVE book, and she has been representing Glamour Magazine as a Glambassador for the past two years. You can also catch her DJ’ing her groovy beats at high-style events.

Darnell enjoys turning ideas into reality, bringing women together to foster relationships and self-confidence, encouraging women to embrace their inner “divas” by dressing up and looking their best at all times, supporting local women’s charities, shoe shopping and making sure that everything she does has a stylish flare.
